When I was a kid, I thought that posting out Christmas cards was an old fashioned event which pretty much nobody I knew of was thinking about doing. I no longer think that and so I now send off Christmas cards every year without fail. It's loads of fun to keep in contact this way and receive cards in the mail and it's also an excellent way to keep in contact with friends and family who I probably would not otherwise be able to hear from at other times.

I have also realised that Christmas cards may be a collectors item so I am looking into collecting Hallmark Christmas cards. I keep any special cards I see during the holiday period but also search on the internet for Christmas cards. They can be found whenever you want and a fun way to get them is at auction.
